the great knomad-trek
London
And now for something completely different...
This trip was absolutely packed with adventures.  All the way from the lengthy decision-making process as to whether to go through with it or not, whether to buy the cheap plane tickets or not, and where and how long to stay -- it was all pretty complicated.  But once everything was settled... the adventures started.

The master plan was:  Derek, Kitty and I would all meet in front of the Hannover Hauptbahnhof at 5 am and catch the train that would arrive in Frankfurt am Main at 10 am.  Then we would catch the bus to Hahn, and then catch our flight to London.  But it turned out not to be that simple.  Kitty and I caught the train to Frankfurt, but Derek failed to show up, so after waiting for a while, we had to leave him.  Since the ticket offices were closed, we tried to buy our Schönes-Wochenende ticket on the train from the conductor, but as we were doing so, this nice couple sitting across the aisle from us told us that we could share their ticket for free.  So after thanking them profusely, Kitty and I explained that we were going all the way to Frankfurt and it turns out that they were getting off at Göttingen.  Then this other quiet guy sitting in a corner of the compartment told us that we could share his ticket for free

- English.

- A thousand apologies.

-  History everywhere.
