Milan
Milano: shopping, history and Leonardo daVinci.
Although we only spent about 7 hours in Milan, I think we managed to see a lot of things.  I think the only thing we didn't see was the world-renowned shopping and fashion.  This might be due to the fact that the only place we looked for shopping/fashion was on Corso Buenos Aires.  Maybe that was a good thing since we were definitely not dressed for high-fashion shopping, especially me.

When we got to Milan, we stashed our things at the train station, bought tickets for the public transit and asked for directions at the Tourist Centre.  Obviously, we were tourists and acting VERY proud of it.

Highlights

-  the Duomo: the 3rd largest church in the world.  Amazing stained glass, awesome exterior and loads of pigeons on the piazza in front

-  Galeria Vittorio Emanuele.  Now that's a shopping centre.

-  Castello Szforesco

-  Leonardo da Vinci everywhere.

Lowlights

-  the overconfident pigeons dive-bombing your food as you eat by the Duomo

-  my feet were killing me AGAIN.  I hate my sandals

-  where was all the fashion?

Grade: A-.
